Saha Language
The Saha language is a member of the Turkic language family, primarily spoken by the Sakha people in the Sakha Republic (also known as Yakutia) in Russia. It is an official language in the region and is used in education, media, and government. The language has its own unique script, which is based on the Cyrillic alphabet, adapted to accommodate specific sounds.
Saha is known for its rich oral traditions, including folklore and epic poetry. The language has been influenced by neighboring languages, such as Russian and Evenki, but it retains distinct grammatical and phonetic features. Efforts are ongoing to preserve and promote the Saha language among younger generations.
