Safety Switches
A safety switch is a device designed to protect people from electrical shock and prevent electrical fires. It works by monitoring the flow of electricity in a circuit. If it detects an imbalance, such as when electricity is leaking to the ground, the safety switch quickly cuts off the power supply, reducing the risk of injury or damage.
These switches are commonly found in homes and workplaces, often installed in circuit breaker panels or as part of power outlets. Regular testing of safety switches is essential to ensure they function correctly and provide the necessary protection against electrical hazards.
