Sabu Dastagir
Sabu Dastagir was an Indian actor born on January 27, 1924, in Karachi, which was then part of British India. He gained fame in Hollywood during the 1940s and 1950s, known for his roles in adventure films. His most notable performance was in the film The Thief of Bagdad (1940), where he played the role of a young giant.
Sabu's career began when he was discovered by filmmaker David O. Selznick while working in a circus. He became one of the first Indian actors to achieve international recognition, appearing in various films that showcased his unique talents and charm. Sabu passed away on December 2, 1963, but remains a significant figure in cinema history.
