Sable Island
Sable Island is a small, crescent-shaped island located off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada. It is known for its unique ecosystem, sandy dunes, and diverse wildlife, including the famous Sable Island horses. The island is about 42 kilometers long and is often referred to as the "Graveyard of the Atlantic" due to the numerous shipwrecks that have occurred in its waters.
The island is a protected national park and is home to various bird species, seals, and other marine life. Access to Sable Island is limited, with only a few guided tours available each year, making it a remote and pristine destination for nature enthusiasts and researchers.
