SS-25 Sickle
The SS-25 Sickle is a Russian intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) developed during the late 1980s. Officially known as the RT-2PM, it is designed to carry nuclear warheads and has a range of approximately 10,000 kilometers. The missile is launched from mobile platforms, making it harder to detect and target.
The SS-25 is part of Russia's strategic nuclear forces and is capable of delivering multiple independently targetable reentry vehicles (MIRVs). It plays a crucial role in maintaining Russia's nuclear deterrent capabilities, ensuring a second-strike option in the event of a nuclear conflict.
