SEGA CD
The SEGA CD is a CD-ROM accessory for the SEGA Genesis video game console, released in 1991. It allowed players to enjoy games with enhanced graphics, audio, and full-motion video, expanding the gaming experience beyond traditional cartridge-based titles.
With a library of around 200 games, the SEGA CD featured popular titles like Sonic CD and Lunar: The Silver Star. Although it was innovative for its time, the accessory struggled with sales and was eventually overshadowed by newer gaming systems.
