SCP-049 is a humanoid entity resembling a medieval plague doctor, standing approximately 1.9 meters tall. It wears a black cloak and a white mask with a beak-like structure. SCP-049 claims to possess the ability to cure a disease it refers to as the "Pestilence," which it believes affects all humans. When SCP-049 comes into contact with a living person, it can induce a state of death, after which it performs a surgical procedure. The results of this procedure often lead to the creation of a reanimated corpse, which SCP-049 refers to as a "cure." The entity is contained by the SCP Foundation to prevent potential outbreaks.
