Série B
The Série B is the second tier of professional football in Brazil, operating under the governance of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). It features a league format where teams compete for promotion to the top division, known as the Série A. The season typically runs from May to December, with each team playing a total of 38 matches.
Promotion to the Série A is awarded to the top four teams at the end of the season, while the bottom four teams face relegation to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C. The league is known for its competitive nature and has produced many talented players who later succeed in higher divisions.
