Rwenzori Colobus Monkey
The Rwenzori Colobus Monkey is a unique primate found in the mountainous regions of Uganda and Democratic Republic of the Congo. This species is known for its striking black and white fur, with long, flowing tails that help them balance in the trees. They primarily inhabit the Rwenzori Mountains, where they live in social groups and feed mainly on leaves, fruits, and flowers.
These monkeys are well-adapted to their environment, with strong limbs for climbing and a specialized digestive system to process their fibrous diet. The Rwenzori Colobus Monkey plays an important role in its ecosystem by aiding in seed dispersal, which helps maintain the health of the forest.
