Rutger Hauer
Rutger Hauer was a Dutch actor born on January 23, 1944, in Breukelen, Netherlands. He gained international fame for his role as Roy Batty in the 1982 science fiction film Blade Runner, directed by Ridley Scott. Hauer's performance was widely praised, and he became known for his intense and memorable characters.
Throughout his career, Hauer appeared in numerous films and television shows, including The Hitcher and Ladyhawke. He was also involved in humanitarian efforts and founded the Rutger Hauer Starfish Association, which focused on raising awareness for AIDS and other social issues. Hauer passed away on July 19, 2019.
