Russian President
The Russian President is the head of state and government of the Russian Federation. This position is responsible for overseeing the country's executive branch, implementing laws, and representing Russia in international affairs. The President is elected for a six-year term and can serve multiple terms, with a limit of two consecutive terms.
As of October 2023, the current President is Vladimir Putin, who has held the position since 2012, after previously serving from 2000 to 2008. The President has significant powers, including appointing the Prime Minister and other key officials, as well as influencing foreign and domestic policy.
