Russian Navy's Borei-class
The Borei-class is a series of nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines developed by the Russian Navy. Designed to enhance Russia's strategic deterrent capabilities, these submarines can carry up to 16 RSM-56 Bulava intercontinental ballistic missiles. The Borei-class features advanced stealth technology, making it difficult to detect underwater.
The first submarine of this class, the Yuri Dolgoruky, was commissioned in 2013. Borei-class submarines are equipped with modern navigation and communication systems, allowing for improved operational effectiveness. They play a crucial role in Russia's maritime defense strategy, ensuring a credible second-strike capability in the event of a nuclear conflict.
