The Russian Church Abroad (RCA) is a branch of the Russian Orthodox Church that was established in 1920 after the Russian Revolution. It was formed by Russian émigrés who fled their homeland and sought to preserve their faith and traditions while living outside of Russia. The RCA aimed to maintain the spiritual and cultural identity of the Russian Orthodox community in foreign lands.
Over the years, the RCA has grown and established parishes in various countries, providing support and a sense of community for Russian expatriates. In 2007, the RCA reunited with the Russian Orthodox Church in Russia, strengthening ties between the two and allowing for a more unified approach to faith and worship among Russian Orthodox Christians worldwide.
