Runway Edge Lights
Runway Edge Lights are essential visual aids used at airports to outline the edges of a runway during nighttime or low-visibility conditions. These lights are typically white and are positioned along the sides of the runway to help pilots identify the runway's boundaries as they approach for landing or takeoff.
In addition to the standard white lights, Runway Edge Lights may also include colored lights, such as red or green, to indicate specific runway conditions or directions. The red lights signal the end of the runway, while green lights are used to mark the beginning, enhancing safety for aircraft operations.
