Rumsen
Rumsen is a Native American tribe originally from the central coast of California, specifically the area around Monterey Bay. They are part of the larger Ohlone group, which consists of several tribes that share similar languages and cultures. The Rumsen people traditionally relied on fishing, hunting, and gathering for their sustenance, utilizing the rich natural resources of their coastal environment.
The Rumsen language is part of the Utian language family, but it is now considered extinct, with efforts ongoing to revitalize and preserve the cultural heritage of the tribe. Today, descendants of the Rumsen are involved in cultural preservation initiatives and work to educate others about their history and traditions.
