Rudhramadevi
Rudhramadevi was a 13th-century queen of the Kakatiya dynasty in southern India. She is notable for being one of the few female rulers in Indian history, reigning from 1262 to 1289. Her rule is marked by significant contributions to architecture and culture, including the construction of the famous Thousand Pillar Temple in Warangal.
Rudhramadevi was known for her military prowess and administrative skills. She took on the traditionally male role of a king, even adopting a masculine name to assert her authority. Her reign helped strengthen the Kakatiya dynasty, making it a prominent power in the region during her time.
