Royal Regiment of Wales
The Royal Regiment of Wales was an infantry regiment of the British Army, formed in 1969. It was created by merging the South Wales Borderers and the Welsh Regiment. The regiment was known for its distinguished service in various conflicts, including both World Wars and peacekeeping missions.
In 2006, the Royal Regiment of Wales was amalgamated into the Royal Welsh, which continues to serve as a line infantry regiment. The regiment's cap badge features a dragon, symbolizing its Welsh heritage, and it has a proud history of representing Wales in military service.
