Royal Green Jackets
The Royal Green Jackets was an infantry regiment of the British Army, formed in 1966. It was created by merging three historic regiments: the King's Royal Rifle Corps, the Rifles, and the Green Jackets. The regiment was known for its distinctive green uniforms and its focus on light infantry tactics.
In 2007, the Royal Green Jackets was amalgamated into the Rifles, which is now one of the largest infantry regiments in the British Army. The regiment has a rich history, participating in numerous conflicts and earning a reputation for its skilled marksmanship and adaptability in various terrains.
