Rover Group
Rover Group was a British automotive company known for producing a range of vehicles, including cars and SUVs. Founded in 1904, it became famous for models like the Rover 200 and Rover 400. The company underwent several ownership changes, including being part of the British Leyland group in the 1970s and later being acquired by BMW in the 1990s.
In 2000, Rover Group was sold to the Phoenix Consortium, which struggled to maintain profitability. The company eventually ceased production in 2005, marking the end of an era for the iconic British brand. Today, the Rover name is owned by SAIC Motor Corporation, which uses it for a range of vehicles in China.
