Rounds in Boxing
In boxing, a match is divided into segments called rounds. Each round typically lasts three minutes, followed by a one-minute rest period. The number of rounds in a match can vary, with professional bouts often consisting of 10 to 12 rounds, while amateur matches may have fewer.
During each round, boxers aim to score points by landing punches on their opponent while avoiding being hit. The referee oversees the match, ensuring the rules are followed and the fighters' safety is prioritized. If a boxer is knocked down, they must demonstrate their ability to continue before the round can proceed.
