Ross Perot
Ross Perot was an American businessman and politician, best known for his independent presidential campaigns in the 1990s. He founded Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in 1962, which became a major player in the data processing industry. Perot's wealth and business acumen helped him gain national attention.
In the 1992 presidential election, Perot ran as a third-party candidate, focusing on issues like the national debt and trade policies. He garnered nearly 19% of the popular vote, making him one of the most successful third-party candidates in U.S. history. His candidacy highlighted the growing discontent with the two major parties, the Democratic Party and the Republican Party.
