Ross Bagdasarian Sr.
Ross Bagdasarian Sr. was an American musician, actor, and record producer, best known for creating the animated characters Alvin and the Chipmunks. Born on January 27, 1919, he gained fame in the late 1950s when he recorded the first Chipmunks album, which featured high-pitched voices and catchy songs.
In addition to his work with Alvin and the Chipmunks, Bagdasarian was also a talented songwriter and performer. He used the stage name David Seville for his character, who was the Chipmunks' manager. Bagdasarian passed away on January 16, 1972, but his legacy continues through the enduring popularity of the Chipmunks.
