Ross's Goose
The Ross's Goose is a small species of waterfowl native to North America. It is characterized by its white plumage, short neck, and small size, typically measuring about 24 to 26 inches in length. This goose often has a distinctive black bill with a pinkish hue, making it easily identifiable among other geese.
Ross's Geese primarily inhabit Arctic and sub-Arctic regions during the breeding season, migrating south to wetlands and agricultural fields in the winter. They are known for their social behavior, often forming large flocks. Their diet mainly consists of grasses, grains, and aquatic plants, similar to other members of the Anatidae family.
