Rose Beetle
The Rose Beetle, scientifically known as *Macrodactylus subspinosus*, is a common insect found in gardens and landscapes. It is recognized for its shiny, metallic green or bronze coloration and can grow up to 1 inch long. These beetles are often seen feeding on the leaves and flowers of various plants, particularly roses, which is how they got their name.
Rose Beetles are most active during warm months, especially in late spring and early summer. They are not harmful to humans but can cause damage to ornamental plants. Their life cycle includes stages as eggs, larvae, pupae, and adults, contributing to their population in gardens and natural habitats.
