Romanos II
Romanos II was a Byzantine Emperor who ruled from 959 to 963 AD. He was the son of Emperor Constantine VII and became emperor at a young age after his father's death. His reign was marked by the influence of powerful officials and military leaders, as he was not fully capable of governing due to his youth.
During his short reign, Romanos II focused on military campaigns against the Fatimid Caliphate and the Bulgarians. However, his rule was overshadowed by the dominance of his wife, Theophano, and her family. Romanos II died unexpectedly in 963, leading to a power struggle in the empire.
