Rock Operas
A rock opera is a theatrical work that combines rock music with a narrative storyline, often presented in the form of a musical. Unlike traditional operas, which typically use classical music, rock operas feature electric guitars, drums, and other elements of rock music. They often tell a cohesive story through a series of songs, with characters expressing their emotions and experiences through lyrics.
One of the most famous examples of a rock opera is The Who's Tommy, which follows the life of a deaf, dumb, and blind boy. Other notable rock operas include Pink Floyd's The Wall and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar, each blending music and drama to create a unique artistic experience.
