Robocall
A robocall is an automated telephone call that delivers a pre-recorded message to the recipient. These calls are often used for various purposes, including telemarketing, political campaigns, and public service announcements. Unlike traditional calls, robocalls do not involve a live person on the other end, which can make them less personal and sometimes annoying.
Many robocalls are legitimate, but some are scams designed to trick people into providing personal information or money. To combat unwanted robocalls, various regulations, such as the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), have been established to protect consumers from intrusive calls.
