Robert Serber
Robert Serber was an American physicist known for his work on the development of the atomic bomb during World War II. He was part of the Manhattan Project, a secret U.S. government research initiative aimed at creating nuclear weapons. Serber contributed significantly to the theoretical understanding of nuclear reactions.
After the war, Serber became a professor and continued his research in physics. He is also recognized for his efforts in science education and communication, particularly through his book, The Los Alamos Primer, which explained the principles of nuclear fission to scientists and engineers involved in the project.
