Robert Rich, 1st Baron Rich
Robert Rich, 1st Baron Rich was an English nobleman born in 1559. He was the son of Richard Rich, 1st Baron Rich, a prominent figure during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. Robert was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge and became involved in politics, serving as a Member of Parliament.
In 1620, he was granted the title of Baron Rich, which elevated his status in the peerage. He held various positions, including Lord Lieutenant of Essex, and was known for his contributions to local governance. He passed away in 1634, leaving a legacy in both politics and land ownership.
