Robert II of Bar
Robert II of Bar was a nobleman from the House of Bar, born around 1344. He became the Count of Bar in 1391 and was known for his role in the political landscape of medieval France. His reign was marked by efforts to maintain the independence of his territory amid the conflicts of the Hundred Years' War.
He was also a significant figure in the Valois dynasty, being a cousin to several French kings. Robert II's lineage and alliances through marriage strengthened his position, and he played a part in the complex feudal relationships of the time, contributing to the history of Lorraine.
