Robbie Robertson
Robbie Robertson was a Canadian musician, songwriter, and producer, best known as the lead guitarist and primary songwriter for the rock group The Band. Born on July 5, 1943, in Toronto, Ontario, he played a significant role in shaping the sound of American roots rock music during the 1960s and 1970s.
In addition to his work with The Band, Robertson collaborated with various artists and contributed to film soundtracks, including those for director Martin Scorsese. His influential career earned him recognition as a key figure in the music industry, and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
