Richard de Clare, 9th Earl of Hertford
Richard de Clare, 9th Earl of Hertford, was a prominent English nobleman born in 1733. He was the son of Edward de Clare, 8th Earl of Hertford and Mary Seymour, and he inherited the title in 1750 after his father's death. Richard was known for his involvement in politics and his role in the House of Lords during the 18th century.
In addition to his political career, Richard de Clare was also a patron of the arts and contributed to the cultural life of his time. He was married to Lady Isabella FitzRoy, and they had several children, continuing the family's noble lineage. Richard passed away in 1790.
