Richard Nevill, 16th Earl of Warwick
Richard Nevill, the 16th Earl of Warwick, was a prominent English nobleman during the late 15th century. Born in 1428, he played a significant role in the Wars of the Roses, a series of civil wars for control of the English throne. Known as the "Kingmaker," he was influential in the rise and fall of several monarchs, including Edward IV and Henry VI.
Warwick was a skilled military leader and politician, known for his strategic alliances and battles. His ambitions ultimately led to his downfall, as he was killed in the Battle of Barnet in 1471, marking a pivotal moment in the conflict between the House of York and the House of Lancaster.
