Ribblehead Viaduct
The Ribblehead Viaduct is a prominent railway bridge located in the Yorkshire Dales, England. It was completed in 1875 as part of the Settle-Carlisle Railway, which connects the towns of Settle and Carlisle. The viaduct spans 400 meters and features 24 arches, standing 32 meters high at its tallest point.
This impressive structure was designed by engineer John Crossley and is made of local limestone. The Ribblehead Viaduct is not only a vital part of the railway network but also a popular tourist attraction, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape and the nearby Three Peaks.
