Riace B
Riace B is a famous ancient Greek bronze statue discovered in 1972 off the coast of Riace, Italy. It is part of a pair known as the Riace Bronzes, which date back to the 5th century BCE. The statue stands about 2 meters tall and is celebrated for its detailed craftsmanship and realistic portrayal of the human form.
The Riace Bronzes are believed to represent warriors and are thought to have been created by an unknown artist. They are significant examples of classical Greek art, showcasing the advanced techniques of bronze casting and the emphasis on naturalism during that period. Today, they are housed in the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria.
