Rewa State
Rewa State was a former princely state located in central India, primarily in the region of Madhya Pradesh. It was established in the 16th century and was ruled by the Rewa royal family, which belonged to the Kachwaha clan. The state was known for its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, including the famous Rewa white tiger, a rare species that was once found in the area.
In 1947, with the independence of India, Rewa State merged into the Indian Union. The last ruler, Maharaja Martand Singh, played a significant role in the integration process. Today, the region is part of the Rewa district and continues to celebrate its historical significance through various cultural events and festivals.
