Revelation 13
Revelation 13 describes two beasts that emerge during the end times. The first beast rises from the sea, symbolizing political power and authority, and is given authority by the dragon, often interpreted as Satan. This beast is known for its blasphemous names and is worshipped by many, representing a challenge to God and His followers.
The second beast, coming from the earth, promotes the first beast and performs miraculous signs to deceive people. It enforces the mark of the beast, a symbol of allegiance, which is required for buying and selling. This chapter highlights the struggle between good and evil in the final days.
