Resident Assistants
A Resident Assistant (RA) is a trained student leader who lives in a college or university residence hall. Their primary role is to support and assist fellow students by creating a safe and inclusive living environment. RAs help with conflict resolution, organize community-building activities, and provide information about campus resources.
In addition to fostering a positive community, RAs are responsible for enforcing residence hall policies and ensuring that students adhere to safety regulations. They serve as a point of contact for residents, offering guidance and support during their college experience, and often receive training in leadership, communication, and crisis management.
