Residency Training
Residency training is a period of advanced education for medical graduates, where they gain hands-on experience in a specific area of medicine. This training typically follows the completion of medical school and lasts from three to seven years, depending on the specialty. Residents work under the supervision of experienced doctors, known as attending physicians, in hospitals and clinics.
During residency, doctors develop their clinical skills, learn to diagnose and treat patients, and participate in various medical procedures. They also attend lectures and workshops to enhance their knowledge. Successful completion of residency is essential for obtaining board certification in their chosen specialty, allowing them to practice independently.
