Resia Lake
Resia Lake is a picturesque artificial lake located in the South Tyrol region of Italy. It was created in the 1950s when the valley was flooded to build a hydroelectric power plant. The lake is known for its striking turquoise waters and the iconic bell tower of the submerged village of Curon Venosta, which rises above the surface.
The area around Resia Lake is popular for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and sailing. The lake is also a favored spot for photography, especially during sunrise and sunset, when the scenery is particularly breathtaking. Visitors can enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding Alps.
