Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC)
The Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) is a college program in the United States that trains students to become officers in the military. Participants, known as cadets, take military science courses alongside their regular academic studies. Upon graduation, they can commission as officers in the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps.
ROTC programs are offered at many colleges and universities, providing scholarships and financial assistance to students. In addition to classroom instruction, cadets engage in physical training, leadership exercises, and field training to develop the skills necessary for military service.
