Reschensee
Reschensee, or Lake Resia, is an artificial lake located in the South Tyrol region of northern Italy. It was created in the 1950s when the valley was flooded to build a dam for hydroelectric power. The lake is known for its striking turquoise waters and the iconic bell tower of the submerged village of Curon Venosta, which rises above the surface.
The area around Reschensee is popular for outdoor activities, including hiking, cycling, and skiing in the winter months. The lake also attracts visitors for its scenic beauty and opportunities for water sports, making it a favorite destination for both locals and tourists.
