Republican Party of Armenia
The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) is a political party in Armenia, founded in 1990. It has played a significant role in the country's political landscape, particularly after Armenia gained independence from the Soviet Union. The party traditionally supports conservative policies and has been associated with the leadership of former President Serzh Sargsyan.
The RPA has participated in various elections and has held power in the Armenian government for many years. However, its influence has waned in recent years, especially after the 2018 Velvet Revolution, which led to a shift in the political environment and the rise of new political forces in Armenia.
