Religious Fatwa
A religious fatwa is a formal legal opinion or decree issued by an Islamic scholar, known as a mufti. It provides guidance on specific issues related to Islamic law, or Sharia, and is based on interpretations of the Quran and Hadith. Fatwas can address a wide range of topics, including personal conduct, social issues, and religious practices.
Fatwas are not legally binding but carry significant weight within the Muslim community. They can influence the behavior of individuals and communities, as they often reflect the views of respected scholars. While some fatwas are widely accepted, others may be controversial or debated among different Islamic sects.
