Reich President
The term "Reich President" refers to the head of state in the Weimar Republic, which was the government of Germany from 1919 to 1933. The position was established in the Weimar Constitution and held significant powers, including the ability to appoint and dismiss the Chancellor, dissolve the Reichstag, and call for new elections.
The most notable Reich President was Paul von Hindenburg, who served from 1925 until his death in 1934. His presidency saw political instability and economic challenges, ultimately leading to the rise of Adolf Hitler and the end of the Weimar Republic, as Hindenburg appointed Hitler as Chancellor in 1933.
