Regular Verbs
Regular verbs are verbs that follow a consistent pattern when changing forms, especially in the past tense. To form the past tense of regular verbs, you typically add “-ed” to the base form. For example, the verb play becomes played, and walk becomes walked. This pattern makes it easier to conjugate these verbs in different tenses.
In addition to the past tense, regular verbs also form their present participle by adding “-ing” to the base form. For instance, dance becomes dancing, and cook becomes cooking. Understanding regular verbs helps in mastering verb conjugation in the English language.
