Reflexes
Reflexes are quick, automatic responses to certain stimuli that help protect our bodies. For example, when you touch something hot, your body instantly pulls your hand away without you having to think about it. This happens because of a special pathway in your nervous system that allows signals to travel quickly from your senses to your muscles.
These rapid reactions are important for survival and are found in many animals, including humans. Reflexes can be simple, like blinking when something comes close to your eyes, or more complex, involving multiple muscles and movements. Overall, they help us respond to our environment safely and efficiently.
