Reflective Eyes
Reflective eyes refer to a phenomenon where the eyes appear to shine or glow, often due to the reflection of light. This effect can be seen in various animals, such as cats and dogs, which have a layer of tissue called the tapetum lucidum. This layer enhances their night vision by reflecting light that passes through the retina back into the eye.
In humans, reflective eyes can occur in certain lighting conditions, especially in photographs taken with flash. The light reflects off the retina, creating a bright spot in the eyes. This effect is commonly known as "red-eye" when the flash reflects off the blood vessels in the eye.
