"Rebuild of Evangelion" is a film series that reinterprets the original anime series, Neon Genesis Evangelion. Created by Hideaki Anno, it consists of four movies released between 2007 and 2021. The series aims to retell the story of Shinji Ikari and his struggles against mysterious beings known as Angels, while exploring themes of identity, trauma, and human connection. The first film, Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone, introduces updated animation and a revised narrative. Subsequent films, including Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance and Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, further develop the plot and characters, culminating in the final installment, Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time.
