Rebounding Percentage
Rebounding Percentage is a basketball statistic that measures a player's effectiveness in grabbing rebounds. It is calculated by taking the number of rebounds a player secures and dividing it by the total number of available rebounds while they are on the court. This percentage helps evaluate a player's contribution to their team's ability to gain possession of the ball after missed shots.
There are two types of rebounds: offensive and defensive. Offensive Rebounding Percentage focuses on a player's ability to collect rebounds on their team's missed shots, while Defensive Rebounding Percentage measures their success in securing rebounds after the opposing team misses. Together, these metrics provide insight into a player's overall rebounding skills.
